I can’t even express my excitement for these two (I mean, three)! Heather is near and dear to my heart…she is an amazing vet tech, and over the years, she has taken excellent care of my pets and foster kittens. I just adore her. Getting to see Heather and Ryan’s happiness together during this session was so fun and we had lots of laughs :-). Heather’s pug Paisley was FOR SURE going to be a part of the shoot and as everyone can imagine, Ryan had to ask Paisley for her blessing before popping the big question. Good news, Paisley approved, so Ryan surprised Heather this winter with a proposal at the Toledo Zoo under all their beautiful holiday lights. Congrats, Ryan, Heather AND Paisley! Also, a big thank you to Melissa for being Paisley’s assistant during “her” photo session.
Melissa and Rick said “I Do’s” on Saturday, September 29th in front of their family and dear friends on Belle Isle. I had the honor of capturing their engagement earlier this year on camera, so getting to photograph their big day was so special! Their talented niece Lila sang “At Last” by Etta James for their first dance before everyone departed for more celebrating in Detroit. It was the perfect setting for the bride and groom, and their guests filled the air with sounds of happiness, laughter and love. Congratulations, Melissa & Rick!
